The Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Westchester is an organization of the alumni of all the Harvard University institutions, graduate and undergraduate, as well as the parents of current undergraduates, who are living in Westchester County, NY. Read on, you'll get an idea of the scope of our activities. We welcome your inquiries about membership; contact our Club Coordinator. We hope you'll join the Club. Note that all our programs are opened to alumni and their guests, Club members or not. Harvard-Yale Game Known as The Game. The most famous was the 1968 game. Yale, heavily favored to win, was dominating until the final 2 minutes of play. Harvard tied the score, inspiring the Harvard Crimson headline: Harvard Beats Yale 29-29. Filmmaker Kevin Rafferty (Atomic Cafe) interviews the players forty years later. The men talk about The Game and themselves. Some went on to fame and glory (Tommy Lee Jones), others to quieter and less public lives. We're showing it at the Rye Free Reading Room on Friday, November 20, and we're going to enjoy a tailgate party before. Event starts at 6:30 PM, pay $10 at door, RSVP to Virginia Maybank (limited space). More Rejoin! We will be sending out, via snail mail, our annual appeal for membership. Please considering joining, if you haven't already. Current members: don't forget to rejoin! We can send you an application if you don't receive one. Email the Club Coordinator. Calling All Musicians! We are in the process of putting together a Spring Musicale in 2010 featuring Harvard-Radcliffe alumni living in Westchester. If you are interested in re-kindling that old Bach Soc, HRO, Ensemble Society, or Music 180 chamber music experience, and would like to share your musical talents with and for fellow alumni (all classes welcome), please contact Rebecca Abrams Sayles '84 or call her at (914) 698-5731 Volunteer Urgently Needed for the Harvard Book Award Committee. A good way to start out with Club activities. Work involves approximately 20 hours in April and May, done on your own schedule, plus a meeting or two. More info contact Rekha Packer. Club Directory By now all current members should have received their 2009 Directory of Members. If you haven't, get in touch with our Club Coordinator, to request yours. The Directory of members is one of the benefits of membership. Questions about the web site or anything on it? Contact Fran Greenberg.
