The mission of the founders, who established the Club in 1988 under the leadership of John T. McLoughlin, '36, is the committment to learning through a diversity of subjects and speakers, to fostering congeniality, to enjoying sports and to supporting student selection and development. The club's programs take full advantage of our community's extraordinary resources as well as our ability to attract visitors from Cambridge and beyond. Eligibility for membership is open to all in the Harvard family: alumni and their spouses or partners, Harvard staff and faculty, undergraduates, and parents.
