Welcome to the Harvard Club of the West Coast of Florida's Home Page

The Harvard Club of the West Coast of Florida was founded in order to create a commonplace for Harvard Alumni to gather, network and get to know one another.  The club is based in the Tampa Bay Area and we are happy to welcome members from the surrounding area. 

The local club was founded in 1924 and has maintained an active membership of anywhere between one and two hundred in the recent years of the club.  The Harvard Club of the West Coast of Florida hosts five or six events a year for local membership and maintains an active role in the community at large by cross pollinating with other local Alumni clubs.

The annual events of the club are typically; A Day at the Races, typically held in early Spring; The Harvard Media Dinner, also held in the spring; The Harvard-Yale annual softball game, held in late summer or early fall; the Harvard-Yale Game broadcast and viewing event, held at the time of competition at a local Tampa Bay Venue (typically the St. Petersburg Yacht Club); and The Harvard Club of the West Coast of Florida annual Christmas party.

In addition to our club sponsored events, members are frequently invited to participate in events sponsored by other local Ivy clubs in the Greater Tampa Bay area.

Our membership is an active community and typically we have a minimum of forty attendees at our events, however we are always willing to have more.  If you are a local Alumni or Student with any Harvard institution, or a parent of a current student and would like to join the club, please do not hesitate to contact the club at hcwestcoastflorida@post.harvard.edu.
