I attended Harvard Divinity School from fall 1998 until spring 2000, studying comparative world religions. While at the Div School I was a member of the Art Appreciation Club, I completed an internship in the International Programs Office at Boston University, and I served as a student worker in Harvard's International Office. I graduated with a Master's of Theological Studies (MTS) in June 2000.
I grew up in southern Indiana and attended Wittenberg University (Ohio), where I had an English major and minors in East Asian Studies and Religion. In high school and college I swam competitively, watched too many re-runs of "The Golden Girls," and developed a love for travel. After graduating from college, I moved to rural Japan to teach English to junior high students. While in Japan I applied to the Divinity School, and that's where I headed next. Then I moved from Boston back to Indiana to work as a foreign student advisor at Hanover College. After four and a half years at Hanover, I decided to try out working in immigration law, and I've been an immigration paralegal/case administrator since. I'm currently working for Ice Miller in the Labor Section. My hobbies include singing karaoke, in-line skating, reading, and giving less-than-perfect office feng shui advice to my colleagues.

I enjoyed my time in Cambridge. After studying for a Master’s degree in education and social policy at Harvard, I became Director of the Harvard Public Service Network, based at Phillips Brooks House. In my free time I was a Tutor at Dunster House, did research at MIT, rowed for crew teams, supervised a mentoring program, and served on a business school consulting team. I played basketball in drafty Boston gyms and wondered when the Celtics would finally hoist another trophy. Most important, I made lifelong friends there and met my future wife.
In Indianapolis, I do strategic consulting and marketing projects for companies and nonprofit organizations via my firm, Aspen Impact. This work has enabled me to study markets and travel in North America, Europe, and Asia. If you'd ever like to learn more about the long hours and eclectic life of a consultant, please feel free to contact me.
In addition to rooting for Harvard and UCLA (my undergraduate alma mater), I am an occasional writer and scholarship judge. Church, movies, theatre, books, and biking absorb whatever time’s left at the end of the day!

A Muncie, Indiana native, I was graduated from Harvard College in 1987 with a degree in history. I was a varsity swimmer each of my four years in Cambridge and lived in Eliot House. After spending three post-graduate years working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., I returned to Indiana to attend law school at Indiana-University – Bloomington, where I earned my JD degree in 1993. I then served for two years as a law clerk to Indiana Chief Justice Randall Shepard, followed by four and a half years working for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission as its Chief Administrative Law Judge. A brief stint back in Washington with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Office of Public Utility Regulation, preceded a return to Indianapolis, where I have worked as an attorney in private practice with the firm Baker & Daniels LLP since the fall of 2000.
I served as President of the Harvard Club of Indiana from 2003-2007, and participate on the team of alumni interviewers of local applicants to the College. I am also active in his church, Roberts Park United Methodist, where I sing in the choir and have served in a variety of leadership capacities, as well as in the Indiana State Bar Association, having just concluded a term as treasurer of that professional organization. A committed historic preservationist, I live in a restored 1880's home in the Chatham Arch neighborhood near downtown Indianapolis. I was the president of that neighborhood association in 2005, and am currently the secretary of the board of directors for the Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana. I also serve as secretary of the board of trustees for Dance Kaleidoscope, this state's premiere contemporary dance company.

I received my Master of Public Administration degree from the Kennedy School at Harvard in 2004. Before Harvard, I grew up in Chinatown in San Francisco, received degrees in economics from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and the University of Wisconsin, and spent eight years in business journalism and fund management in Hong Kong.
After graduating from KSG, I came to Indiana to help Mitch Daniels’ campaign. After he won the governorship in November of that year, I joined his administration as a policy advisor where I worked on a range of issues including transportation and utility regulation. In
2006, I joined the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, an NGO focused on regional economic development.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, I received my Master's degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a focus on Administration, Planning, and Social Policy. My coursework centered on financial policy at both the institutional and state-wide levels and the legal requirements and negotiations that accompany such policies. I was fortunate to be mentored by such professors as James Honan, David Kuechle, Mike Nakkula, and Charles V. Willie. The case study I submitted for Dr. Willie’s course was published in the most recent edition of his book, A New Look at Black Families (AltaMira Press), which he co-authored with my Harvard classmate, Richard Reddick. Before arriving in Cambridge, a Fulbright Summer Fellowship and a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation grant provided me with opportunities to study in and travel throughout Greece and Italy for extended periods.
In my professional life, I represent AXA Financial Group, a world leader in the financial services industry. My clients include individuals as well as small to medium sized businesses. In addition to supporting the Harvard Club of Indiana (where I interview potential undergraduates as a member of the Schools Committee), I serve on the Advisory Committee of Second Helpings, Inc. and the Saint Luke Catholic Church Athletic Committee. In 2007, I was selected to participate in the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series which is jointly sponsored by the Lacy family and the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce.
My wife, Kelly, and I are pleased to be residents of Indianapolis.

I received my Doctor of Philosophy in Biostatistics degree from Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard in 2005. I grew up in Poland, received degrees in mathematics from Simon Fraser University and statistics from University of British Columbia in Canada. I also spent three years studying and enjoying life in Athens, Greece.
After graduating from Harvard, I came to Indianapolis to work as a faculty member in the Division of Biostatistics of the Indiana University School of Medicine. I enjoy the academic environment and both national and international collaborations. I travel frequently to attend and give presentations at scientific conferences.
In my spare time, I read books, watch soccer, and play with my two daughters. |

Spending the last four to five years in Cambridge, I have a fresh perspective of what is going on right now at Harvard. Also, winning two Ivy League Football Championships and witnessing the arrival and departure of President Summers were events that I was a part of that will go down in the history of the College for years to come.
Here in Indianapolis, I focus on the design of environmentally friendly architecture.
